Chronic Pain

Chronic Pain patients experience many losses due to their chronic pain. Losses include; loss of work, loss of role in relationship, loss of control and loss of sleep. Our clients learn how to decrease their pain by learning how to use relaxation techniques and diaphragmatic breathing. We also examine the clients' thoughts and beliefs about pain, their family's support or lack of, and family’s responses of the clients pain. We also equip caregivers in helping their loved ones live with chronic pain.

Marriage and Family Therapy
